Fender Replacement
Sometimes the most challenging part of a marine project is getting to the job in the first place.
Seawork Marine Services were recently asked by a long-standing and valued client to assist with low-water drilling and bolting for fender brackets.
The client had already made excellent progress, installing the fenders and brackets above water. However, due to tidal restrictions, completing the bottom brackets presented a very different challenge.
Working during low-water periods, the Seawork team provided:
- Experienced personnel
- Two sets of hydraulic underwater tools
- Low-water drilling capability
- Resin-set fixings drilled directly into granite
By combining specialist equipment with practical marine experience, we were able to overcome the access and tidal challenges and help the client complete the installation.
It’s another example of where planning, specialist equipment and experience make all the difference when working in difficult marine environments.
